Gifts from friends have always been crucial to the society's capacity to sustain the level and quality of its activites, enabling it to grow to meet the needs of an enthusiastic gardening audience.  Membership/subscription fees alone cover only a portion of the cost of publishing the quarterly Pacific Horticulture magazine.  In fact, more than 30% of our operating budget each year depends on gifts from readers and friends.
