Pacific Horticulture Society sponsors and supports a variety of educational activities up and down the West Coast. These range from talks within other venues such as the major garden shows, co-sponsorship of professional seminars such as those with The Garden Conservancy, and leadership of major symposia with botanic gardens and horticultural groups.

Growing Natives Symposium: Inspiring & Enduring Gardens; A two-day symposium on native plant gardening & design

September 17:  Lafayette Community Center, Lafayette
September 18:  Regional Parks Botanic Garden, Berkeley

Creating inspiring and enduring gardens with California native plants is the theme of this two-day symposium, co-sponsored by California Native Plant Society, the Friends of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, and Pacific Horticulture. The first day will feature talks by Carol Bornstein, Deva Luna, Mike Craib, Luke Hass, and David Fross. Day two will include workshops and plant sales in the botanic garden.

Return to Monterey: Regionalism and Sustainability: A Pacific Horticulture Study Weekend

Return to Monterey: Regionalism and Sustainability study weekend will take place on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, where we will explore the work of Bernard Trainor, his colleagues and cohorts, and study the designs, details, and plantings that make their gardens so distinctively regional and sustainable.
