Introduction to Creative Floral Design

Designer Chin Zimoyni introduces floral designs in elegant, modern and Japanese styles. She will demonstrate how designs are put together into one unit or component with foliage, flowers and objects. She shares her secrets for shape, color and height arrangements, and different floral designs for special events and occasions.

Chin Zimonyi is a registered nurse by profession, but her passion is flowers and she also works as florist. Her floral displays have appeared at the Ikebana International Shows and at the Asian Art Museum. She has won a number of blue ribbons for her floral designs from the Washington Federation of Garden Clubs. Her work has also appeared at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show, and she has done demonstrations to many garden clubs and the Cherry Blossom Festival. She has been a member of Ikebana International since 1989, and she is also a member of the Alderwood Garden Club, and head of the Senke-Seishen Japanese Flower Arranging School.
