Back by popular demand, Lotusland is holding a live plant auction and sale. The highlight of the event will be a spirited live auction during which a dozen or so very rare, very special plants will go under the gavel. Other choice plants and garden books will be offered during a silent auction, and for those impatient plant lovers, there will be a “buy it now” section of interesting and not-so-common species, many propagated from Lotusland plants. Several plant experts will be on hand throughout the afternoon to discuss the plants and their use in gardens.
In addition to the plants from Lotusland that will be available, plant collectors and other botanical gardens (such as the Huntington Botanical Garden) are generously donating some very special specimens. Fee: $125 per person
The cost of $125 includes bidding rights, specialty cocktails, fine wines, premium beers, and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds from the event will be used to care for and support Lotusland’s botanical collection. more about this special event.
