New Zealand Plants for California Gardens with Thomas Sauceda

Western Horticultural Society is pleased to announce this upcoming talk with Thomas Sauceda, Botanical Curator UCSC Arboretum, New Zealand Collection.

Tom will share “tried and true” New Zealand plants (as well as some experimental plants) to incorporate in your plant palate for the home landscape.

The Edward D. Landels New Zealand garden was dedicated in 1984. Many unusual and fantastic plants await the visitor, their odd forms revealing much about the forces that shaped their evolution.Because of its isolation it is estimated that an overwhelming 85% of New Zealand’s seed plant species are native only there.
