Selecting and Growing Berries in the Pacific Northwest

This class is designed to familiarize the urban and suburban gardener with common, and some less common, berries that can be grown in the Pacific Northwest. We will cover fruit descriptions, soil, planting and training requirements as well as disease susceptibility. The presentation is appropriate for beginner to mid-range technical, and will follow a printed outline. Questions will be encouraged and answered throughout the presentation. Larry Davis has been an avid back yard vegetable gardener and orchardist for most of his life; he joined the Seattle Fruit Society in the late 1980’s and was a King County Master Gardener for twenty years.
