Spring Native Plant Sale

Make your garden water-wise and beautiful at the same time this season by introducing California native plants. Native plants also bring habitat value and a sense of place to the garden without requiring additional energy or chemicals. Discover the possibilities at the Native Plant Sale.

In spring, California hillsides turn every shade of yellow, orange, red, blue, purple, and white with glorious wildflower displays. Many of these wildflowers can be grown in the garden with ease, and you can get plants and bulbs at the sale. Speak with experts about unthirsty alternatives to a lawn, including native perennials, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses. Browse books, posters, and note cards featuring native plants. Free class on “Gardening Success with Native Plants” from 1-2 p.m.

The plants are accurately tagged and lovingly nurtured by volunteers from the local chapter of the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) and by Acterra Nursery. The non-profit, all-volunteer CNPS Nursery opens to the public two times a year (spring and fall). Proceeds fund chapter activities such as Gardening With Natives, Field Trips, Conservation, and Education; Acterra; and the Trust for Hidden Villa.
