Workshop: Pacific Northwest Weed Management

Mark Lyke, Horticulture Manager at Lakewold Gardens will help us to understand the significance of the life cycle and growth patterns of weeds in the Pacific Northwest. Who made the “top 10” list of weeds at Lakewold? What methods do have more minimizing how they effect/affect the garden? In understanding prevention, what role does biological, cultural, mechanicaland herbicidal control play in how we manage weeds?

This workshop is part of Lakewold’s Education Series, presented by our Horticulture Committee. With the help of the instructor and the committee members, you will be provided with a mentor as you practice what you learned in the workshop class – a true hands-on learning opportunity!
