Pacific Horticulture Society
Enthusiastic gardeners separated by distance, united in interests. The Pacific Horticulture Foundation was formed in 1968 by representatives of the California Horticultural Society, San Francisco Botanical Garden Society (formerly Strybing Arboretum Society), and Western Horticultural Society. Since that time, the Southern California Horticultural Society, Northwest Horticultural Society, and San Diego Horticultural Society have joined the Foundation expanding representation to encompass the entire West Coast.
Now operating under the name Pacific Horticulture Society, our organization hosts a variety of events, lectures and educational opportunities including regional symposia and travel tours throughout the world. Experienced gardeners and trained horticulturists alike, consider our quarterly journal, Pacific Horticulture to be one of the finest gardening magazines in the country.
Focused on the future, PHS continues to expand its online presence. Interactive capabilities, a comprehensive calendar listing of West Coast gardening events and a growing directory of public gardens, as well as articles posted from our 35 year print archives make today's Pacific Horticultural Society an indispensible resource for West Coast gardeners.
