"Each of the five tours I've enjoyed has been outstanding in every respect: great leadership, charming and often small hotels, excellent cuisine, and entry into lovely private homes and garden"
"Our recent Morocco tour was well organized, a wonderful itinerary, and gave us access to private gardens and local homes that would not have been otherwise possible."

The Tibetan Plateau: A Journey for Plant Enthusiasts
Escorted by Greg Graves, Board Member, Pacific Horticulture Society
June 27-July 13, 2010

The high Tibetan Plateau has for centuries been a place of fascination for Western naturalists and explorers. Its vast meadows support a wonderfully varied mix of grasses and wildflowers—and some of the richest alpine plant communities in the world. From Chengdu in Sichuan Province, we travel by coach to Xining, with plenty of botanizing stops along the way, then by train to the historic town of Lhasa, and by bus again from the Lhasa Valley to Namco Lake, where wildflowers abound at 15,000 feet elevation. This trip is a first for Pacific Horticulture, and we expect it to fill quickly.
