"Pacific Horticulture is where I turn to read real articles about real gardens and real plants; it's where I find information that educates and inspires me."

The spectacular setting of Quarryhill Botanical Garden in Sonoma County, California.

Quarryhill Botanical Garden is a twenty-acre research garden featuring an exceptional collection of plants from Asia, all grown from wild-collected seeds. The garden has been created over the past twenty-five years, as the vision of the late Jane Davenport Jansen. Located in Glen Ellen, California, the garden is open to the public for self-guided and docent-led tours; visit www.quarryhillbg.org for more information.

As a complement to Nanette Londeree's article about Quarryhill Botanical Garden, which appears in the April 2010 issue of Pacific Horticulture, we offer these two articles from the magazine's archives, both written by garden director William McNamara.
